Praça Vermelha | Moscovo
A Praça Vermelha de Moscovo, uma das mais famosas praças do mundo , é cartão de visita em qualquer viagem à Rússia, e basta lá chegarem pela primeira vez que em instantes vão perceber porquê. É inacreditável, imponente e lindíssima. De tudo o que visitamos na viagem foi sem dúvida o ponto alto e não foi por acaso que em apenas um dia em Moscovo, acabamos por lá ir três vezes, em horários diferentes, só para tirar mais duas centenas de fotografias, aproveitar outros ângulos e diferentes exposições solares. É absolutamente uau e de fazer cair o queixo.
E é do facto de fazer cair o queixo que surgiu o seu nome. Se pensavam que vermelha tinha alguma coisa a ver com o Benfica, desenganem-se 🙂 E na verdade também nada tem a ver com a cor dos principais edifícios nem com a cor associada ao regime comunista que vigorou durante o século passado. Vermelho vem da palavra russa krasnaya que pode significar tanto vermelho como bonito. E sim, é vermelha, mas é bem bonita.
A praça tem uma forma retangular e uns imponentes 23 000 metros quadrados (330 comprido e 70 de largura) fechados ao trânsito onde ocorrem regularmente paradas militares, nós não vimos os desfiles mas à hora da manhã a que lá chegamos a primeira vez tínhamos a praça quase só para nós.
Então e o que há para ver por lá?
- Museu Histórico do Estado (State Historical Museum) e Catedral de Kazan
No extremo por onde provavelmente vão chegar à Praça, já que é o que dá acesso ao centro da cidade e às estações de metro mais próximas. Não entramos em nenhum deles mas são edifícios bem giros mesmo por fora e ajudam ao ar “vermelho” da praça. O Museu rendeu umas fotografias giríssimas.
- Galerias Gum
Numa das laterais mais compridas da praça ficam as famosas Galerias GUM, não são mais do que um centro comercial – mas em bom – onde provavelmente não vão conseguir comprar grande coisa, sob pena de não terem dinheiro para viajar nos anos seguintes. Mas o edífio é giríssimo por fora e vale a pena entrar só para sentir o luxo e a ostentação.
- Igreja de São Basílio
Talvez o elemento mais aguardado da visita à praça vermelha, estava em pulgas por estar cara-a-cara com a igreja de São Basílio e claaaaaaro que não desiludiu, as cores são incríveis e proporcionam as melhores fotografias. Fica já o alerta de que se só tiverem oportunidade de lá ir uma vez a manhã não é grande coisa para tirar fotografias, o sol está mesmo por trás da igreja, o que complica o pouco a coisa. Claro que nós voltamos à hora de almoço e depois ao fim da tarde.
- Kremlin e Mausoléu de Lenine
Na outra lateral mais comprida, mesmo em frente às galerias e a todo o comprimento da praça fica a muralha exterior do Kremlin, e o mausoléu de Lenine. Há aqui uma entrada para o Kremlin mas por onde visitante só podem sair – a entrada é do lado oposto do kremlin – e o mausoléu também pode ser visitado. Infelizmente estava fechado no dia em que estivemos na cidade.

É difícil as fotografias fazerem jus ao que vimos por lá, mas eu gostei taaaanto mas tanto da Praça Vermelha que se me disserem que vão à Rússia só para passar lá duas horas e vou dizer-vos que vai valer a pena.
