Bate-volta | 1 dia em Corfu
O tempo voo e faz já 2 anos que passei uns dias de Agosto na Albânia com direito a uma escapadinha de 1 dia em Corfu, nas ilhas gregas. Há ferrys regulares a partir de Sarandä, na costa sul albanesa, e este é um ótimo programa para quem está uns dias a apanhar sol na região e quer fazer um programa um pouco mais cultural. Seguem as minhas dicas:
Como chegar?
Há imensos ferrys diários que fazem a ligação entre o porto de Saranda e a ilha de Corfu, na Grécia. Neste site podem consultar horários e preços das diferentes companhias, mas há sempre boas opções para ir de manhã e voltar ao fim do dia. Os preços são variáveis – em redor dos 50 Euros por pessoa. A viagem demora entre 30 minutos ou pouco mais de 1h, dependendo dos horários.
Não se esqueçam que a Grécia faz parte da UE e a Albânia não, pelo que devem contar com tempo de fronteira/controlo de passaportes tanto na partida como na chegada. Há uma fronteira pelo meio e os procedimentos requerem algum tempo.
Como se locomover?
Caso estejam de carro na Albânia, podem levá-lo com vocês de ferry e este problema está resolvido. Se assim não for e ficarem dependentes de transportes públicos, as opções do que fazer durante um dia de viagem em Corfu ficam mais limitadas, mas ainda assim há autocarros para os principais pontos a visitar na ilha. Eu optei por comprar um passe hop-on hop-off já que uma das paragens é mesmo no terminal dos cruzeiros ou o barco atracou, há várias paragens nos pontos mais relavantes da capital e faz uma pequena deslocação até ao arredores da cidade que inclui o mosteiro de Panagia Vlacherna que eu queria conhecer. Sem carro, ficam muito limitados à capital e aos seus arredores. No entanto para um passeio de ida e volta no mesmo dia não diria que será exatamente um problema, já que não terão tempo para se aventurar muito mais longe.
O que visitar?
Centro histórico de Corfu
Perder-se nas ruelas do centro histórico é sempre um dos meus programas favoritos em qualquer parte do mundo, e Corfu não foi excepção. Há imensas lojas e mercadinhos, restaurantes e bares. Começando a partir da Praça Spianada, onde podem perder algum tempo a aperciar a imponente arquitetura europeia dos edifícios que a circundam, caminhem depois no sentido contrário do mar e deixem-se levar pelo fluxo de pessoas, pelas cores e pelos cheiros. Estamos a meio caminho do Médio Oriente, do Norte de África, vou encontrar uma espécie de souk mas versão europeia. Ainda assim interessante, ótimo local para ir às compras e almoçar.
Fortaleza velha da cidade
Destaca-se no centro da cidade, e está visivel da baías que a rodeiam, numa pequena península, tinha uma posição privilegiada na defesa da ilha e pode ser visitada atualmente. A construção veneziana do século XIV alberga hoje um museu de arte bizantina e no seu interior por ainda ser visitado um farol e a Igreja de São Jorge.
Passeio marítimo, baía de Corfu
Passear ao longo da linha da costa foi um dos percursos mais agradáveis. Há zonas de marina, zonas para caminhar, correr e andar de bicicleta, zonas mais verdes para as crianças brincarem. Sempre acompanhadas por uma água cristalina azul turquesa a convidar a banhos.
no entanto as praias da região não são exatamente de areias brancas, mas sim de pedras. Ainda assim há algumas zonas onde é possível aceder à água.
Kanoni, mosteiro de Panagia Vlacherna
O mosteiro de Vlacherna, datado do século XVII, está situado numa pequena ilha a cerca de trezentos metros da costa em frente à cidade e Kanoni, a sul de Corfu. A imagem do promontório para a pequena ilha rodeada de um mar cristalino já vale a visita, mas foi provavelmente a história e a mitologia que originalmente atriram os primeiros turistas. Diz a lenda que a pequena ilha não é mais do que o barco de Ulisses que foi transformado em pedra pelo Deus Poseidon.
Vale a pena descer até à praia e atravessar para a ilhota, passeios de barco nas imediações também podem ser facilmente contratados, mas ficar no topo de Kanoni a aproveitar as vistas de uma as esplanadas também é um ótimo programa.
